Dr. Steven Rose is currently in his 32nd year of practice, having established the first Chiropractic Clinic in Elwood in 1976. A pioneer in many respects, Dr. Rose was one of the early graduates of the Chiropractic College of Australasia [CCA] which, in later years was to be absorbed within the RMIT University in Melbourne. Entering practice immediately after graduating, Dr. Rose was also invited to join the Academic Faculty of the College, where he became a lecturer and examiner of final year students. Dr. Rose has the philosophy that "if you think you're standing still, you're actually going backwards", and he puts this philosophy into practice when it comes to ongoing education.

Dr. Rose has the reputation of being one of Australia's most widely travelled Chiropractors, making a point of travelling overseas at least twice yearly, in order to attend the latest Chiropractic Conferences and Seminars, ensuring that his patients at Elwood Chiropractic Centre are receiving the highest standard of modern Chiropractic Care on the planet. In 1993, Dr. Rose travelled to Rogers, Arkansas to become the first Chiropractor in Australia to receive full Certification in the revolutionary new technique, B.E.S.T. [Bio Energetic Synchronization Technique]. In 2004, he was awarded full Diplomate status in this technique, and remains the only Chiropractor in Australia to receive this recognition. In February 2005, Dr. Rose attended the first ever B.E.S.T. Super Advanced Seminar in Los Angeles, following which he was nominated by his peers to become a Master, the highest possible achievement in the technique, making him the only Chiropractor in the Southern Hemisphere to have such an honour bestowed upon him. In May 2005, Dr Rose was invited to again attend a B.E.S.T. Super Advanced Seminar, which he did by travelling to Seattle, Washington.

June 2005 saw Dr. Rose again travel to the U.S., this time being the sole Australian delegate at the Vaccine Seminar in Milpitas, California, presented by World famous Dr. Tim O'Shea, whereat the latest research in the field of Vaccines was presented. September 2005 again saw Dr. Rose travel to the U.S., this time for the opportunity to receive first-hand training from one of the world's foremost experts in the field of Core Stability, Dr Kirk Meier. At the Core Stability Seminar, conducted in Costa Mesa, California, Dr. Rose acquired invaluable practical instruction, which will be of immediate benefit to his patients here at Elwood Chiropractic Centre. In early November 2005, Dr Rose was fortunate enough to be included in the elite DC Mentors program, held in the picturesque Squaw Valley, California, under the guidance of none other than Dr Frank Sovinsky.In January 2006, Dr Rose was one of three Chiropractors to represent Australia at the annual Parker Chiropractic Program in Las Vegas, the largest annual gathering of Chiropractors on the planet, this year attended by close to 5,000 registrants. March 2007 saw Dr Rose again travel to the U.S., this time attending the TRIAD Seminar, held in Burbank California, and presented by the head of Triad Seminars, Dr Mark Cymerint. Triad Seminars are reknown throughout the Chiropractic world as being the 'place to go' for the latest developments in Chiropractic research and trends. In December 2007, Dr Rose was priveleged to undergo 'in-house' training in the fields of Auriculotherapy and TRT, from its founder and CEO of Holder Research, Dr Jay Holder, at the Holder Research headquarters in Miami, Florida.

In 1999, Dr. Rose introduced the unique diagnostic Myovision sEMG scanning system, invented and designed by N.A.S.A. Space Scientist David Macarian. This device, which is now used in every major U.S. Chiropractic teaching facility, allows for radiation-free diagnostic appraisal pre and post treatment, in order to scientifically assess the improvement achieved from Chiropractic Care. In January 2005, following a landmark decision by a Florida judge, it was indisputedly proven that the Myovision sEMG is not only an accurate and scientifically reproducable diagnostic device, but indeed considered a vital tool for any modern high-tech Chiropractic Clinic. Dr. Rose remains in regular communication with Myovision's inventor, David Macarian, and is proud to be using this equipment at his Elwood Clinic, knowing that it is the most accurate and reliable device of its type anywhere in the world.
